2010 Shriners Installation of Officers « Result #2 Yesterday at 4:29pm »
My Friends, After what has seemed like forever (5 years), I have had the honor of being elected the Potentate (i.e. CEO) of Moslem Shriners, which is the name of the Shriners for SE Michigan (4000members). I am being installed, along with my Board of Directors, in a Public Installation on Sunday January 10, 2010 at the Shriners Auditorium and Banquet Center at 24350 Southfield Road in Southfield (about 1/4 mile south of 10 mile on the East side of Southfield Road).
The doors open at 1:00 P.M., Business attire, Installation begins promptly at 2:00 P.M., with an open bar and hor d'evours to follow.
I am very excited to see my time and effort the last several years come to fruition, and been hard at work to make 2010 a great year for the Shriners.
Regrettably, I have sacrificed much quality time with my friends, many of you in this group, and I cannot apologize enough, it is me who has lost in this respect, but hopefully will rebound in 2011 (in time for Greg Maddux to make the HoF).
Anyway, if any of you are available with your ladies, and children, It would be great to see you there.
Let me know if anyone is available, at least it would give you an opportunity to see the building I have been living in for 5 years, and the beautiful facilities.
Any "reality" show on Bravo that is not Top Chef. Designers, house flippers, housewives and smary dick bag realtors should be shot and killed, not put on TV.
Seriously you are going to call out the other shows on Bravo after admitting you watch these ones?
I admit I watch Top Chef. I put myself though college working in the restaurant business and have a real respect for a quality chef. That and I'm a fat guy that loves food.
Taking some of the most talented people in their profession and challenging them to see who is the best at is something I'll watch. Considering that most of the topic on here are sports related I don't think that watching a true competition is that embarrassing.
Putting a bunch of attention whores in front of a camera to fuck a washed up rap/hair metal star, or documenting how they can be pricks to each other under the guise of selling a house, living together in the same are code or launching a line takes no talent, skill or brains.
I just finally found time to watch the six episode first season (and hopefully not last) of "The League" on FX.
What a fantastic comedy. I Love It, my wife watched the last 3 episodes and even found it hilarious, which I did not think she would sit through 10 minutes.
I have been singing the the last song for the past 3 days, cannot get it out of my head:
Shivakamini Somarkandarkram
The women are hot, and it is good to see Nadine Valesquez (My Name is Earl) show up on tv again, it has been too long.

I think that reg mentions top chef because it is one of the favorite shows of his wife. Mine too. It's not bad, for a reality show, and i don't mind if its on. However, I think the point reg is making is that the overkill of reality tv means that tv stations are paying money to unethical, immoral, waste of space douchebags and harlots like the housewives and realtors and lustful vapid pretty people.
