The Harlem Knights have announced a trade with the St Louis ball club in the the SouthWest division.
Very popular catcher Bill Dickey, coming off one of his finer campaigns, has been traded along with Doc Cramer in exchange for rookie Bill Nicholson.
Dickey spent ten years in Harlem, batting .301 with 135 home runs. He was instrumental in the team World Championship last year, batting a career-best .341 with 25 home runs and 107 RBI.
Doc Cramer was a 3rd-round pick in 1929, and hit .288 in 6 years, including .322 in 1934. He batted .360 in the 1933 World Series.
Harlem looks forward to having Bill Nicholson on the roster, and wish Dickey and Doc the best of luck in St Louis.

After the trade, Doc Cramer was overheard saying this, "I don't know why I was traded. I am in my prime!"

"Sure ya do, say goodbye to me, go grab that spirited actress and make her your own. Take that and don't look back. Live every second, live right on through the end. Live Wyatt, live for me. Wyatt, if you were ever truly my friend, or if ya ever had just the slightest of feelin' for me, leave now, leave now, please. "
