With the addition of Shefield and Mesa, the re-signing of Casey, and the signing to long term contracts of Bondo and Inge, I would give them a solid B+. It would've been higher if they had gotten a younger left handed pitcher instead of Mesa.

I'll go with B+ (though the poll chart reads B)
Bondo and Inge signings were both very reasonable signings - quite a good job by Dumbrowski, really.
Casey at $4M I suppose is reasonable, but I would like to see them upgrade 1B. I know Casey had a good World Series, but other than that, he hit poorly for the Tigers.
Adding Sheffield was nice, in that the Tigers did not trade anyone from their 25-man roster.
They did give up 3 minor league pitchers, but have Rogers, Bondo, Robertson, Verlander, Maroth, Ledezma, Miner, Zumaya, Rodney, and Jones. That is 10 guys I have just named that significantly contributed to the Tigers success last year (well, maybe not so much Maroth), most of whom are under 30 and are all either experienced, or have good upside, or both. And they still have Miller plus some other decent prospects in Toledo/Erie.
That written, I do think the 3-year deal for Gary was excessive, though. I fear they will regret having to pay him $13M 3 years from now.

With all the outragious spending out there I would give the Tigers a solid A. They mortgaged nothing. They signed Sheffield to a bargain contract before spending got really bad this year. They signed a 40 year old Mesa. Who by all accounts is in a lot better shape then many guys half his age. Extended both Inge and Bonderman to reasonable contracts. This allows them to have quality people in positions to reasonable contracts and on top of that signed the mayor to play 1st base.

I'm not convinced that they are done either. We still may see that left-hander brought in.
I suspect that they will likely move Marcus Thames as well.
