Jayson Stark had this on his blog this week:
Until Tim Wakefield (195-173 lifetime) wins five more games, we'll find ourselves in a unique time in baseball history -- because the active leader in wins has yet to win his 200th game. So when was the last time that happened? Believe it or not, reports loyal reader Eric Lee. it was 1879. And there was a better excuse back then -- since it was Season No. 4 in the life of some new-fangled invention called "the major leagues."

For those of you wondering, Tommy Bond was baseball's first 200-game winner. The last lowest total for an active pitcher with the most wins? Don Drysdale with 204 in 1968.

Can we work Jack Morris and Dave Stieb into this conversation?
