I know ripping Detroit sportwrters is like shooting fish in a barrel, but I felt lke I had to comment on the following: freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061217/COL08/612170639/1050/SPORTS02This is an article by Drew Sharp, which operates on the premise that in order to relieve strain on Zumaya's arm, the Tigers are going to take him out of the bullpen (where he would throw 80 innings a year, maybe 25 pitches on a given night), and make him a starter (where he would throw 180 innings a year and 100 pitches on a given night). Is it me, or is his 'logic' plain nuts? Pitching him more will reduce stress on his arm? As to the claim that Zumaya would pace himself as a starter - well, if Zumaya could pace himself as a starter to reduce strain on the arm, he could do the same as a reliever too. Drew then closes with a comment from Dumbrowski, asserting the Tigers are planning to keep Zumaya in the bullpen. Which begs the question, why did Drew write the article in the first place?

You really have to stop reading the Sharp. He is quite stupid.

Isn't that why they call him "Evil Drew Sharp"?

I think they call him that because he dropped out of Evil medical school.

Good news this week was that Rob Parker got fired off of his radio show (again). I wonder where his lame ass will wind up next?

I know where he'll show up - on the next radio station I'm foolish enough to tune in.
